More about PhotoSynthesis

If you have anything photographic to be done, Photosynthesis should be your go-to choice. They really follow up to make sure that your order will be just what you want, and their advice on what will print well is excellent. And they're fast, too.

Have had a wonderful experience working with the owner here. She made a few bespoke pieces for me as Christmas gifts that turned out beautifully (in this case, printing on oven mitts. Not only was the printing job beautiful, but the mitts themselves were super high quality. I often find that when you pay for printing on items, the quality of the objects offered is pretty bad. Not in this case!). Lisa was so pleasant to work with, and on top of every detail with my order. And I'm a big fan of giving my money to woman-run businesses. I'd give her 6 stars if I could.

These folks do a great job. I have used them for scanning old photos, doing oversized prints, making specialty items with my images, and printing lots and lots of photographs. The two times I had an issue with my order, they re-did it, no charge, and no questions asked. That's great service.

The Magic of a Good Chocolate Chip Cookie!

I am pretty passionate when it comes to the power of a good cookie. A great homemade cookie should be unpretentious, soft and chewy, and no matter your age should taste just like your grandma made it.

That's why one of the first recipes in my new collection is my Scrumptious Chocolate Chip Cookie...

Do You Love Vintage Recipe Cards as Much as I Do?

Do you collect vintage recipe cards or cooking ephemera? I sure do! In the example above I took an old recipe card removed the text, and replaced it with new! This is yet another way you can preserve something from the past!

I especially love the quote at the end, "A truer friend there cannot be, than one who shares her recipe"!

The True Meaning of Christmas?

As I launched RecipeGifts.com last fall, amidst the pandemic, I knew that I wasn't the only one trying to rekindle connection.

All of the RecipeGift.com products make wonderful holiday gifts, but the true treasure, is what's pictured above, a recipe so used and loved that it was almost scattered to the wind, but instead, Grandma Lavern's handwriting preserved for years to come.
