Uncle Art’s Sausage & Peppers
Sausage & Peppers are quick and easy meal, with less time to meal prep!
I like to mix two packages of Italian sausage. One sweet Italian sausage and one hot Italian sausage. I brown the sausage either on the barbecue grill, or I put them in the oven on broil and move the pan as close as they can get to the hot oven heating elements. When they are nice and brown I remove them from the oven/grill and let them sit.
In another pan I chop up bell peppers. More green bell peppers and red and yellow. Slice bell peppers rather thick. I add yellow onions or white onions and a small amount of red onions in with the bell peppers. I add sliced cloves of garlic and I sprinkle Italian seasoning. Then I take olive oil in a spray bottle and spray everything until covered with oil.
When I take that mixture of veggies and move the pan to the oven on broil I do the same as I did with the sausages. The pan is close to the heating element and I stir it constantly until the bell peppers and onions are somewhat charred in places.
Then I add the sausages and move the pan away from the heating elements and continue to cook for about an hour. Sometimes I add a little butter and then constantly stir the mixture that is cooking.”

- Two packages of sausage: 1 sweet Italian sausage and one hot Italian sausage.
- Olive oil spray & little butter
- yellow onion and red onion, sliced
- garlic, minced
- red bell pepper, sliced
- yellow bell pepper sliced
- green bell pepper, sliced
- Italian seasoning
