Basic Quinoa
This foolproof recipe for perfectly cooked quinoa is fast and easy! Use cooked quinoa as a simple healthy side dish, in a salad or as a base for a delicious main dish.

Ingredients
- 2 cups water or broth
- 1 cup quinoa
Directions
- Combine water (or broth) and quinoa in a medium saucepan.
- Bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat to low, cover and simmer until tender and most of the liquid has been absorbed, 15 to 20 minutes.
- Fluff with a fork.
Tip: To avoid the bitter taste of the quinoa, rinse it throughly until the water is no longer frothy.
